I’ve always cared about looking after my skin. I wanted to understand what I was putting on my face: the ingredients, their amounts, and what I could realistically expect.
I brought those same questions to ZUVIE. That’s why I published every ingredient and its declared amount, so you can read the formula and decide whether it belongs in your routine.
I started with an existing formula and had it adapted, including removing the fragrance and increasing niacinamide to 2%. Following laboratory advice on preservation, we increased phenoxyethanol to 0.45%. You can read every ingredient and its declared amount on this page, because I wanted you to have the information I’d come to look for when choosing skincare for myself.

Six peptides
Peptides are short chains of amino acids used in skincare for conditioning. Our formula includes six; Acetyl Heptapeptide-4 is also used to help bind moisture.
Niacinamide
A form of vitamin B3, long studied in skincare for the look of a more even complexion.
Vitamin E
Listed as Tocopherol, an antioxidant used in cosmetics to help limit oxidation. It is also used as a conditioning ingredient.
Glycerin, sodium hyaluronate & squalane
Glycerin and sodium hyaluronate bind water. Sodium hyaluronate is a form of hyaluronic acid. Squalane is an emollient, used to soften skin.

Has the serum been tested? Why are there no reviews?
Our original formula passed its preservation challenge test. We’ve since removed the two added colorants. We’re confirming with the UK laboratory whether the existing result also covers the updated formula. The independent safety assessment is still pending.
This test checks how well the preservative system protects the formula against bacteria, yeast and mold. It does not measure results on skin or guarantee that the serum will suit every person. We do not present ingredient research as testing of this finished serum.

Is there fragrance? What about sensitive skin?
The formula has no added fragrance. That does not mean reaction-free. We can’t promise it will suit every person.
